“ALVARS are one who was immersed completely in Bhakti and deep devotion of Supreme GOD MahaVishnu and 108 Divya Desam {Premium temples} which is revered by Alvar’s during 5th to 10th centuries.
Alvars revered and sang hundreds of songs in-depth with feeling & devotions towards, 108 Divya Desam’s divine realms of deities of lord Vishnu’s temples, which was spread across the Bharata kande, Jambu Dweepe {Indian Sub-Continent} during 4000 -2500 BCE. Alvars also visited and praised 108 Divya Desam’s temples during medieval period when there were absolutely no communication & transportation facilities.
In this short book we tried to give max information.
Divya Desam Temples:
There are 108 Maha Vishnu and Sree Lakshmi temples, 105 in India, 1 in Nepal & 2 in Abode believed to outside the planet earth. Divya desam temples are more than 2000-4000 years old historic holy places.
There were 12 Alvars who were poet and saints of Vishnu, they were instrumental in popularising Vaishnavism during the 5th-8th centuries.
12 alvars completely immersed in the Bhakti movements visited all these 108 temples revered in their songs with deep devotion towards MahaVishnu and Lakhmi and they offered Mangalasasanam {offering Pooja with deep devotion} are classified as Divya Desams temples.
